Well at least the recession isn’t only affecting us little guys, Harley-Davidson sales fell 13% in Jan/Feb. According to a Forbes article, layoffs and plant closures are likely over the next couple of years.

Harley-Davidson has brought on a couple of good-looking women as part of a new marketing campaign pushing the 2009 V-Rod Muscle. Marisa Miller has appeared in the Sports Illustrated swimsuit edition, Maxim and Victoria’s Secret and has expressed a desire to learn to ride. The other woman, Krista Marie, is an upcoming country singer whose song “Drive It Like I Stole It” will be the NHRA Drag Racing theme song for 2009. While we all know sex sells, what do you guys think of H-D using these ladies to help sell their products during this crappy economy?

How many of you have ridden in Santa garb like these folks down in Southern California?

GM announced they will be selling some of the 1,000 classic vehicles currently in their Heritage Center near Detroit. For those looking to get a pristine classic car, the auctions are taking place in January in Arizona and then in April in Florida. GM has not said the auctions are to offset losses, but with the recent bailout requests from the automakers, one has to wonder…Check out the full story here.

Now that Christmas has come and gone once again, how did your fund or toy raising go? As we all know, this time of year is the biggie for charities and stuff. 8 bikes collided in Maricopa during a toy run today, 2 of which were cops. No major injuries, it was slow paced, 35mph or under. Read about it here if you want.
